Since winning the UK National Young Drummer of the Year 2006, James Birt has become one of the busiest session drummers on the south coast - working with people such as Ray Dorset (Mungo Jerry), Steve Hampton (The Vapours) and Adam Norsworthy (The Mustangs). James played on the Portsmouth Official FA Cup song 2008, possible Eurovision Song Contest entries and Wave 105’s Official England World Cup Anthem. James is now a proud endorsee of; Mapex, Paiste, Vic Firth, Hardcase, Protection Racket, Remo, DfD, Baskey, Bigfoot, Quickstick, and Tunafish. James the drummer for Indie band The Vision who have an album out, and a new single out the end of August 2009 as well as playing for functions bands all across the UK. James has toured the UK with people such as Billy Ward, Gregg Bissonette and Thomas Lang and is featured regularly in drumming magazines. He’s also appeared on countless TV shows and Radio stations. James has also been lucky enough to get involved with musicals and pit bands working on shows such as HONK! Little Shop of Horrors, Fame, The Likes of Us and many more…
