Joel JC Clarke

Daley

Joel “J.C” Clarke is a London based musician from Nottingham. He began playing drums in church by age 5 and as he got older began playing at different concerts around the city.

As he progressed he began playing different styles outside of gospel including Rock, Jazz, Funk and Pop.

At aged 7 he moved to Ghana, West Africa with his family and this helped him progress musically. By age 19 he was accepted into Berklee College of Music on scholarship and moved out to Boston, Massachusetts and attended Berklee for two years and in this time alone he became the Musical Director of the schools top Ensemble. Being at Berklee and in America also gave him the opportunity to play with Jazz singer Robin Mckelle, Gospel Singer Alvin Slaughter, Bishop Eddie Long, The Legendary Ernie Isley of the Isley Brothers and many more. He was also invited out to Venezuela with some of the other Elite to perform at the Naguanagua International Jazz Festival 2011 as their guests.

Now back in the U.K he is now rapidly becoming one of the most talented drummers to come out of the UK, becoming known for his mature approach to music his technical ability and flair. Joel is currently holding down the hot seat for U.K soul sensation Daley. His recent endeavors have found him playing at the Royal Albert Hall behind Daley for The Teenage Cancer Trust.
