Ryan Hannaford (Downtown Riots)

Started playing drums when i was 10 just for fun until i started listening to punk rock music when i was 14, i then wanted to start a band. I played in a pop punk band with a group of friends for a year. When i was 17 i went to Truro college to study music , i then played in a couple of different bands as part of the course. In my 3rd year at college we formed Downtown Riots.

In the first year of being a band we achieved a number of great things. Some of these would be: Winner of the Red Stripe "wild card" competition, "Silent Street" played on Radio ones Mike Davies show 3 times, articles written about us in the West Britain, Interviewed on Atlantic FM, recorded an EP with acclaimed producer Dare Mason and played a number of great gigs around the southwest. The following year we got booked to play the Rip Curl Board masters Unleashed Festival alongside The Gallows, Ghost of a thousand. This year we have had a number of great gigs, supporting some great bands. We also played at the Relentless Board masters festival and supported The Blackout. Right now we are working on new material and possibly a full length album, then hopefully tour the UK to promote this.
