Stuart was the original drummer with Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel who enjoyed 3 top 10 albums and the No1 single [make me smile... Come up and see me] which is also one of the top 100 hit records of the decade (70s) plus 4 other top 10 singles.... This is still his main touring outlet where he and Steve still tour pretty much every year doing mainly UK and Europe. 

During his time with Cockney Rebel, Stuart started to build a session career and has played with the following artistes: Kate bush (all albums) from “The kick inside” which featured the No 1 single "Wuthering Heights" which is also one of the top 100 hits of the decade (80s) and numerous top ten singles (Running up that hill, Babooshka, Breathing) and albums up to and including her current album release “Ariel”....... The Alan Parsons Project (about 10 albums) from “Pyramid” onwards.This was also a major touring concern from 1994 to 2002 where they covered the US, Sth America, Japan and most of Europe some 6 or 7 times during the period....... Al Stewart, Year of the Cat, No1 album and single in the USA......Paul McCartney, Hit single No More Lonely Nights (featuring Dave Gilmour on guitar)....... Stuart is currently (2013)  cutting tracks in the studio with classical boy band "Blake" for their upcoming new album and is preparing for a  special original players "re-union" show at London's Albert Hall performing "Year of the Cat" with Al Stewart.
