Often mistaken for that long-haired joker Russell Brand, frequently compared to ´nicest guy in rock´ Dave Grohl, and equally at home performing to thousands of people, Matt Thomas is actually that chisel-jawed drummer from critically acclaimed trio The Joy Formidable.

Since Matt joined The Joy Formidable in 2009 he has toured the world appearing on the Other Stage at Glastonbury as well as the Radio One Stage at Reading & Leeds. This is on top of regularly featuring in NME magazine, and relishing live performances at BBC Radio One and Two, XFM and more recently the Mercury Award Sessions on Channel Four Television.
